How I started
My first client was a company I used to work for. I built websites for it and, quite naturally, learned SEO along the way — because a website that Google does not show brings a business no customers. Today I am an official IT partner of Bratus.
The mistake that changed my approach
I once changed a website's URL structure but did not notice that Google Ads were pointing to the old addresses. For four days the ads sent people to a 404 page, and the money paid for those clicks was spent without a single customer. Since then, before any technical change, I check every channel that leads to the site, and I plan every website so that its addresses will not need to change later.
How I work day to day
Every morning I open Google Search Console. I care about impressions and clicks for the whole domain, not just the position of a single keyword. I research keywords with Google Keyword Planner and look for technical errors with Screaming Frog and Ahrefs.
When Google introduced AI Overviews, I started optimising pages so that they are also understandable to AI-generated answers (GEO).
