Website development at LatSEO costs from €449 for a one-page website, from €799 for a business website and from €1,299 for an online store (excl. VAT). The final price depends on add-ons, and after launch you should budget for hosting — €10 per month — and a domain — €20 per year.

In this article I explain what the base price includes, what makes a website more expensive and how much the first year costs in total. All figures come from my price list, and you can check them in the price calculator.

Website prices in 2026: the short answer

Website typeBest forDevelopment timePrice excl. VAT
One-page websiteSmall businesses and the self-employed3–5 working daysfrom €449
Business websiteSmall and medium-sized businesses2–4 weeksfrom €799
Online storeBusinesses that sell onlinedepends on the number of products and featuresfrom €1,299

What the base price includes

Every package includes a custom design, a mobile version, an SSL certificate and built-in basic SEO. A one-page website has up to 5 sections; a business website has no limit on the number of sections. The online store package already includes a product catalogue, cart, checkout and payment integration.

Built-in SEO means the website is technically prepared for Google Search:

  • technically clean code and fast loading (Core Web Vitals);
  • optimised for mobile devices;
  • a clear URL structure;
  • a correct heading hierarchy.

The code and the domain belong to you, whichever package you choose.

What makes a website more expensive

Most of the price differences come from additional features. They are added as needed, and each has a fixed price.

Add-onPrice
Core online store features (catalogue, cart, checkout, payments)€599
Customer accounts and registration€299
Logo design (3 options)€289
Product filters and sorting€169
Discount module€69
Homepage slideshow€45
Multi-language support, blog, reviews section, survey, on-site search€42 each
Video gallery€39
Photo gallery, newsletter sign-up€35 each
Contact form, social media integration, sitemap€25 each

Price and timeline also depend on how ready your content is. If the texts and images are ready at the start of development, the website can launch sooner.

Monthly and yearly costs after launch

ItemPrice excl. VAT
Hosting and maintenance — website€10/month
Hosting and maintenance — online store€15/month
Domain registration (.lv)€20/year
Fixes and changes after handover€25/h

If you want your website to actively climb in Google rankings after launch, monthly SEO costs from €300/month. It is not mandatory — built-in SEO is already included in the development price.

WordPress, Shopify, Wix or custom code

The choice of platform mainly determines who will change the content after launch.

  • WordPress, Shopify or Wix — you can change texts, images and products yourself.
  • Custom code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) — I make the changes for €25 per hour.

If you plan to add news or products often, choose a platform where you can do it yourself. If the content changes rarely, custom code lets you build a website without the extra weight that slows down loading.

Why the cheapest website can cost more

The most expensive mistake is usually not the development price, but a website that has to be rebuilt a year later because Google does not show it. When a site is rebuilt, the addresses change, and old links start leading to an error page.

I have experienced this myself: after a URL structure change, Google Ads sent visitors to a 404 page for four days, and the money paid for the clicks was spent with no result. That is why I include the SEO basics — structure, addresses and headings — in the development price. Read more in the article “Why SEO should start before website development”.
